Kshama Charitable trust- The beam of hope

Kshama Charitable trust

"THE BEST WAY TO FIND YOURSELF IS TO LOSE YOURSELF IN THE SERVICE OF OTHERS- MAHATMA GANDHI"

Service without expecting anything is the greatest virtue that man can possess. One should not expect anything back for the help one renders to others. That is the greatest quality that a man can possess. This holds true behind the formation of the "Kshama Charitable Trust", the initiative of America based brothers Pradeep Narayanan and Suresh Narayanan and their friends. Their willing to give something back to the country and the state that made them what they are today.

(Kshama Charitable trust Endowment ceremony,2013 with Trustee Suresh Narayanan
present. Trust gave endowment to a family who had lost their loved one with a commitment
for 7 years )
Kshama charitable trust is a registered trust  formed in the year 2010 with the intention to give help  the underprivileged and the needy by a team of dedicated and committed NRI's based in the USA lead by the founding trustees Pradeep Narayanan and Suresh Narayanan and also their friends. Over the last 3 years, the trust has undertaken various activities including giving help to underprivileged students among many other activities. The Endowment  Ceremony- 2013 in which financial help was given to a needy family who had lost their loved one and the only bread winner was the latest in many activities undertaken by the trust in service of the humanity. Speaking on the occasion, the Honourable President of The Pudhussery Grama Panchayath, Smt Sreedevi rightly pointed out the commitments that one and all should have to give help to the poor and the underprivileged and thus giving back to the society and the country that has made one what they are today and the privileges that one enjoys.  It is the realisation that one has to give back to the society that has given one all the money and the success  is the quality possessed by a few.

I am indeed honoured and privileged to be associated with these blessed souls in their endeavor. May god bless those behind this humane endeavor and help Kshama Charitable Trust to be in service of the humanity for years to come.

INS Sindhurakshak- A tribute to the brave sailors who lost their lives

It has not been a good day for the Indian navy with one of India's most advanced submarines, INS Sindhurakshak  drowning after massive explosions.

Submarines are a risky business to deal with fraught with danger. The worst accident to occur in recent memory involving a submarine is the Kursk with was lost to the Barents sea after a massive explosion with all lives lost. The sinking of the INS Sindhurakshak ought to be a wake up call to the Indian navy to take immediate steps to induct deep water rescue platforms that will be required should such a mishap occur in deep sea. Indian Navy still rely on the USN for such a rescue platform. Urgent steps ought to be taken as India is in the process of inducting high value submarine platforms like the INS Arihant and her follow up ships along with Scorpene cl;ass subs.

Remembering all those brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in service of the motherland

My deep felt prayers and condolences to all those brave sailors who lost their lives in today's mishap. It ought to be remembered that even if India inducts high tech platforms, a soldiers life is more valuable as they are the people who sacrifice their lives so that India can be protected and no enemy dare to touch us. It is our bounden duty to take good care of these brave sons and daughters of this great mother land. Our condolences to those who lost their lives. The nation would be always be of  gratitude to you with all those who lost their lives on the line of duty.

The silent Indian

The silent Indian

I weep for the liberty of my country when I see at this early day of its successful experiment that corruption has been imputed to the ruling class and most powerful, and the rights of the people have been bartered for promises of office.

This is my feeling when I see the present day India. India is reeling under many strains. First there is the silent government who seems accountable to no one but itself. Then there is corruption which is eating away our society like termites. There is total and scant for the rule of law and each and every one feels himself or herself to be above law only justifying their misdeeds. All this happens and the greater majority who are the real Indian citizens keep quiet tucked away in our silent world frustrated but unable or unwilling to respond.

Now what has made me write this blog? Is it my frustration on the happenings that makes my country suffer while it's rulers live a life without even caring about the well being about us Indians. Are we same Indians who came out in millions to protest the misdeeds of the British and eventually attained freedom? Is this the same India that produced great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda? What has happened to us that we suffer such injustice without even uttering a word of protest?
Corruption

The recent happenings does not hold good for our country. The most horrific incident has been the brutal assassination of five of our brave soldiers by a cowardly enemy? I am shocked because there was no reaction from the government except a murmur of protest. If it was some other country say Israel, the enemy would by now be counting their dead bodies that is assured with quick and punishing retaliation. Is India not capable and powerful enough of doing the same? The truth is that we are powerful but our rulers does not have the guts to take the necessary actions and let lose our enemy.

Everybody has their own political agenda. Now as many may know Kerala is now reeling under the controversy of a financial scam that has taken it's branch to the very centre of the state government. Now the opposition has announced an indefinite agitation by completely encircling the Secretariat and mot letting anybody work. Now I am not against any kind of protest against corruption and am of the opinion that corruption and the corrupt should be dealt with iron hand. But can such protect happen with the cost of the fundamental right of a citizen to work and eek out a living? A common man's fundamental right is affected if there is hartal or a bandh. Further the very opposition that seems to be fighting against the corruption does not have clean hands. The common man is no fool and he can see through the game. That is why the support for such protest is dwindling among the masses.

But what stands apart is the realization with the common man that nothing is going to change in India and things will be as it is come what may. But be warned, this quiet nature is a lull before the tempest. The earlier the ruling elite understand this the better. The kind of protest that rattled the capital during the death of the Nirbhaya is a case in point which saw the pent-up frustration coming out. Let not the silence of the masses be taken for granted. Because a time will come when the rulers will need to reply to the common man.

Now as a common man, our country needs us to be vigilant and throw out those who see themselves above the welfare of the country. Let us awake and fight injustice lest history will never forgive our silence. It is our duty as the son of this great country.

A tribute to the protectors of India- The brave India soldier

Pic Courtesy-Wikipedia
As India burns under the claims of corruption, separate  new state, and immature and outlandish comments by our leaders, five brave soldiers of the Indian army laid down their lives in service of our great nation, cowardly and  brutally killed by an enemy who does not have what it takes to fight India eye to eye. Now I have nothing against those politicians who seek opportunity to gain political mileage on the smallest issues and capitalize  on the same, what irritates me is the lack of sensitivity on the part of our rulers to the plight of our soldiers who dedicate their lives in service of our motherland. The question that has always been asked by me is weather we are taking proper care our brave soldiers? Are we giving them enough back for their supreme sacrifice i service of our motherland?

While ruling elite like termites eat into the very fabric of our great country, it is these soldiers who ensure that we are protected and no harm comes around to all of us Indians. It is time we recognize their sacrifice and dedication and look after them well. it is time India send out a clear message to the cowardly neighbors that India will retaliate if they do not stop their foolishness and there will be no hell on earth like the wreath of an angry India. Do not provoke us and expect not to be paid back in kind in times to come. Be intelligent and be cautious.

In memory of all those brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in service of our great nation
