INS Vikramaditya shines in tropics conditions
One of the chief concerns for Commodore Suraj Berry and his crew when they sailed into Indian waters this month, was that their 44,500-tonne vessel would have problems adapting to the dramatically different climate from what she was used to. But the INS Vikramaditya has sailed through, as it were, with remarkable robustness...................

Meditation- The Maharishi Effect ( Info courtesy The Ancient Indian UFO)

They were able to literally transform the collective energy of the city which reduced global crime rates, violence, and casualties during the times of their meditation by an average of 16%. Suicide rates and automobile accidents also were reduced with all variables accounted for. In fact, there was a 72% reduction in terrorist activity during the times at which this group was meditation.
Almost 50 studies have been done further confirming the benefits of global meditation and it's direct impact on everything in the world, even so far as to have the results published in the Journal of Crime and Justice in 1981. We know meditation has endless health and psychological benefits, but it is now being explored by politics and sociology because of its undeniable energetic impact.
For example, a day-by-day study of a two-month assembly in Israel during August and September of 1983 showed that, on days when the number of participants at a peace-creating assembly was high, the intensity of an ongoing war in neighboring Lebanon decreased sharply. When the number of participants was high, war deaths in Lebanon dropped by 76%.
When the study was repeated in Wales, they got amazing results. In 1987 Merseyside had the third highest crime rate of the eleven largest Metropolitan Areas in England and Wales; by 1992 it had the lowest crime rate. 40% below levels predicted by the previous behaviour of the series. There were 255,000 less crimes in Merseyside from 1988 to 1992 than would have been expected had Merseyside continued to follow the national crime trend.
The secret of the Global Maharishi Effect is the phenomenon known to Physics as the ‘Field Effect', the effect of coherence and positivity produced from the field of infinite correlation—the self-referral field of least excitation of consciousness—the field of Transcendental Consciousness, which is basic to creation and permeates all life everywhere

Biological and Medical Achievements of Ancient India (Info courtesy The Ancient Indian UFO)
![]() |

Medical science was far advanced during ancient times of the Vedas, the Mahabharata and the Puranas. It is proved with evidence that Cloning, which is supposed to be the highest achievement of the modern world, was done in Vedic era to produce a horse ‘Hari’ and a cow ‘Wishwaroopa’. The cow was cloned from the skin of a cow, similar to the modern cloning of a lamb ‘Dolly’, from an udder of a sheep. Human clones were developed, even from a dead man. Cloning from layers of skin and from drops of blood was done. Test tube babies were prepared. Parthenogenesis was performed producing six male children. From an aborted embryo 101 full grown children were produced. Chamasa was divided to make four animals from a single fertilized ovum. In vitro development of foetuses was carried out.
Life science was fully studied, so the sages knew about the chromosomes which were termed as ‘Gunawidhi’.(Mahabharata Shanti 308) This is a perfectly scientific term; because these principles control the characters i.e. ‘Guna’ and also ‘Widhi’, the functions, of a person. Even the chromosome number 23, specific for human beings is recorded, in the Mahabharata and the Bhagawata. It is also stated that these principles give rise to genetic diseases. A list of genetic diseases is given in the Mahabharata, which is similar to the list in the modern science. Bhagawata (3/6/1-7) has recorded that these 23 Gunavidhi of a male gamete enter the female gamete and unite with her 23 Gunavidhi to stimulate them so that a zygote is formed. Then the zygote, which is termed as ‘Kalala’, goes on dividing once, ten times, three times. It means that the cell divides once to give rise to two cells. This happens ten times so that two raised to the power of ten cells form. This happens thrice, at three layers namely Endoderm, Mesoderm and Ectoderm. This multiplication produces two raised to the power of thirty cells, which are really present in a newborn baby, according to the modern science.
How could the sages achieve such a vast and microscopic knowledge? All the stages of growth of an embryo are given in the Bhagawata commencing from the first day up to the full term. These stages concur with those proved by modern science, and some times supercede the modern science. Bhagawata records that heart of a foetus begins its work in the second month of pregnancy. This fact was unknown to the modern science till December 1972. Medical science presumed till then, that the foetal heart began in the fifth month of pregnancy, but then with the use of Disonar apparatus it was confirmed that the foetal heart begins in the second month of pregnancy. This is now well known due to ultrasonography. Aitareya Upanishad, which is composed in about 6000 B.C., much earlier than the Bhagawata [of 1652 B.C.] also states the same fact.
The Bhagawata (2/1022, 3/26/55) states that ears are responsible for recognizing the directions. This is proved by the modern science after 1935, when the Labyrinth or the Vestibular apparatus was discovered in the internal ear.
During Vedic era, Rubhus had divided one ‘Chamas’ (pel), which was prepared by the God Twashta, into four parts.(RV.1-20-6, 1-110-5, 4-33-5, 4-35-3,4, 4-36-4) that ‘Chamas’ means an urn containing life. The word ‘Chamas’ is formed of two components Cham + Asa. The verb ‘Cham’ pe~ means to drink, to eat. The verb ‘Asa’ vl~ means to live, to exist. Therefore, Chamas means a thing, which eats and drinks to live. It means in the modern language a primary cell, full of life or a fertilized ovum.
Other achievements like Parthenogesis, Test-tube-baby etc are also reported in ancient literature of India. The technique of division of Chamasa might have been used by Great Sage Vedayasa.

GSLV-D5, A success story
![]() |
Pic courtesy- Wikimedia and ISRO |
Today India and ISRO stepped into the annals of great space faring nations, a select group of 5 nations which has the capability to successfully launch satellites into the Geo Stationary Orbit using indigenous launchers with the successful launch of GSLV-D5 ferrying GSAT-14 communication satellite. This is even more remarkable because this feet was achieved using the indigenous cryogenic engine. This monumental achievement puts India firmly in the trajectory of rapid development and expansion of our space program which has grown in proposition over the years from launching small sounding rockets from TERLS, Thumba to being able to launch heavy duty rockets. India now has a well developed space program that rivals the best in the world.
Many people has been asking for years as to why does India need such a mammoth space program? The answer is not far to find. Over the years with the advancement of space sciences in India, ISRO has developed a huge fleet of satellites ranging from IRS series to the ultra modern INSAT family of communication satellites. They have enabled us to develop such advanced technologies which enable to accurately predict weather patterns and thus enhance cultivation. Other achievements include rapid expansion in communications, television and any and all the technologies that has fundamentally altered our day to day lives that would have been seemed impossible just about two decades ago. I still vividly remember the days when one had to wait to get a telephone call through. Then with the expansion of the INSAT family, STD and ISD closely followed by Internet has made our lives better.
Now India operates one of the largest fleet of remote sensing satellites in the world that enables us to accurately predict weather patterns and predict accurately whether storms or tsunami will come and also where to go to get good fish catch. India has arrived in world stage.
Now India steps into a new realm where in only the sky will be the limit. India has successfully launched space craft to the moon and to mars and beyond in times to come. India will also launch our own astronauts to the space and the moon thus ensuring that we are a voice to be reckoned with in the future of space which is definitely the last frontier yet to be conquered and the race to conquor the same has already begun.
As an Indian, it is one of the proudest movements for me. I would like this opportunity to congratulate team ISRO and all those who are involved in such a momentous achievement. The entire nation is proud of what you have achieved and extends full support to all those that is to be achieved in the future
