Ruckus inside the Kerala Legislative Assembly- The mockery of democracy

Today will probably go down as a the darkest day in the history of Kerala Assembly. There was mayhem  inside the assembly. The reason being that the finance minister of the state who is tainted by the corruption charges was hell bent of presenting the budget.

Now what made the situation more chaotic is the fact that the opposition had stated that this will not allowed and they wanted somebody else to present the budget. This seemed to be a legitimate demand as the minister could have easily stepped aside and could have come back after clearing his name. But it seems his ego played the better of him.

What as a citizen enrages me more is the fact that these leaders once they get elected thinks that it is their fundamental right to do what they want with scant regard for the common who on the first place had elected them. They think they are above and beyond the law. What else can explain the crass regard for the well being of the common man.

Why is that the entire government machinery was misused so that the ego of an individual can be satisfied. All these violence just because a man could complete something which if not done will hurt his ego. Now who can answer the wide spread damage that occurred due to the ensuing violence. Why is it that the minister who when faced with allegations did not step aside and return after clearing his name? Why is it that the chief minister did not pursue the minister to step aside? The icing of the cake was the minister talking to the press after the show boasting that he has won and claiming that the opposition had also lost. Mr Minister, today it was not the opposition but the common man who lost his belief over the leaders whom he elected and sent to the assembly.

The very reason for the common man to elect a representative and send him to the legislative assembly is because for the representative to run this country and make our lives a little better. It is job that a person is assigned for five years by the common man. If you fail to do your job, then you are sure to pay big time in the next elections. Do not think that the common man is a fool. He watches and understands everything and if those leaders does not rise up to his expectations, those people are sure to be booted out in the next elections. The show has just begun for the government.

But as a citizen, I feel being let down by those whom I have voted to power. I can only say that "please do not underestimate the power of the common man." We are not fools. We understand what is going on and will pay you handsomely in the next elections.

Vande Mathram.

The Indian Navy- Protectors of the Seas

The Strength of the Indian Navy: Navigating Towards Global Maritime Excellence The Indian Navy, a pivotal arm of India's armed forces, plays a crucial role in ensuring maritime security and projecting power in the Indian Ocean region and beyond. With a rich history and a forward-looking strategy, the Indian Navy stands as a testament to India's growing naval prowess and strategic vision. Here’s a closer look at the strength and capabilities that define the Indian Navy today. 1. Historical Legacy and Modernization The Indian Navy's origins trace back to the early 17th century when the Maratha Empire established its naval forces. Over the decades, it has evolved from a modest coastal defense force to a formidable blue-water navy capable of projecting power globally. Modernization has been at the core of its growth, with significant investments in new technologies, ships, submarines, and aircraft. 2...
